Function of exhaust port filters or breather vents
Filter air, gases, and steams

Hänchen exhaust port filters consist of a sintered bronze element inside a zinc-plated steel body. They serve to ventilate spaces exposed to low pressure, e.g. on oil containers or unpressurized chambers in hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic systems. Breather vent filters prevent foreign materials from being carried in by the airflow and thus prevent damage to the machine. Hydraulic breather vents are used as air filters and exhaust port filters. The distinguishing features of this breather vent plugs are their high dirt separating capacity and a long service life, and they are particularly suitable for filtering flowing gases and air.

Cleaning of the exhaust port filters

Visible dirt on the filter element can be removed in a reverse air flow. Dirt inside the breather vent plug, such as oil, can be removed using a solvent.

Hänchen hydraulic breather vents serve to ventilate spaces exposed to low pressure, e.g. on oil containers or unpressurized chambers in hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic systems.
