The piston rods of hydraulic cylinders is supported in the guiding elements in the cover and on the piston. The bearing distance X0 between these two supporting points determines the bearing load, especially if shearing forces occur.
In order to permit a sufficient load-bearing capacity even with high shearing forces or long strokes, the bearing distance can be lengthened by installing a spacer ring.
Installing a bearing distance extension will make the cylinder longer. The cylinder stroke will not change.
