Rod eyes are mounted to the piston rod or protective tube as an accessory.
Together with the pivot mounting of the cylinder body, the rod eye can be used as a cylinder mounting. The cylinder force is thus applied centrically to the mounting so that no lateral forces arise
This is a cylinder mounting with two degrees of freedom of movement, which enables a swivelling installation.
Rod eye spherical
With the HäKo piston rod configurator it is possible to use rod ends across the rows.
For example, rod eyes of the ISO 8132 or ISO 8133 series can be attached to the cylinders of Hänchen series 120 or 300 with a corresponding piston rod thread. The maximum possible load capacity must be observed.
Rod eyes according to ISO 8132 or ISO 8133 are installed so that the rod end strikes the shoulder of the piston rod. Rod ends conforming to the Hänchen standard strike the front face.
A spherical plain bearing subject to regular maintenance inspection is installed in the rod end bearing.
More detailed information on the spherical plain bearings installed here you can find under spherical plain bearings.
Assignment of the standard spherical plain bearings on rod eyes
series cylinder | standard accessory |
spherical bearing ISO 12240-1 |
bearing clearance | fixation of bearing |
120, 300 | Hänchen | Form E (DO) maintenance required | Group N | permanently fixed |
120 | ISO 8132 | Form W (LO) maintenance required | Group N | with snap ring |
320 | Hänchen | Form E (DO) maintenance required | Group 2 | with snap ring |
100, 160, 250, 550 | ISO 8132 | Form W (LO) maintenance required | Group N | with snap ring |
660 | ISO 8133 | Form E (DO) maintenance required | Group N | permanently fixed |
Group N = normal clearance
Group 2 = narrow clearance
