Lifting with transport eyebolts on the hydraulic cylinder:
- Attach suitable transport eyebolts to the covers in pull-out threads (axial) or transport threads (radial).
- If necessary, use oil ports for the transport screw.
- Attach suitable lifting equipment (load chains, lifting slings) to the transport eyebolts on the Hänchen product.
Lifting with lifting slings, if no transport eyebolts are present:
- Attach two lifting slings of equal length by forming loops at both ends of the Hänchen product's tube.
- Observe the permissible load capacity of the lifting slings.
- Ensure that the Hänchen product is not lifted by attached components, such as mounting plates, oil pipes, or sensors.

Storage
To protect the sliding surfaces of hydraulic cylinders and pressure intensifiers from corrosion during long-term storage:
- Fill the cylinder with a suitable internal preservative.
- Ensure that there is no air in the cylinder.
- Seal the ports airtight.
Before the start-up of Hänchen products:
- Completely remove preservative.
- Ensure that sealing elements are not stuck by preservative.
Factory corrosion protection
Hänchen products are standardly painted with a primer coat (color shade grey RAL 9006).
The following surfaces on Hänchen products are not primed or painted:
- Fit diameters and mating surfaces towards the customer side
- Sealing surfaces for line connection
- Sealing surface for flange connection
- Connection surface for valve mounting
- Inductive proximity switches
- Position transducer
- Measuring coupling
- Joint/pivot bearing
- Grease nipple
Non-primed surfaces are protected with corrosion protection oil. For short-term storage in dry and evenly tempered rooms, the primer coating is sufficient as external preservation.
Internal preservation
Hänchen products are standardly tested with mineral oil according to DIN 51524 Part 2, unless otherwise specified. The oil film remaining inside after testing provides short-term internal corrosion protection.
